The Anti-corruption campaigner, Paul Collins Appiah Ofori of the NPP has described President John Atta Mills as a failure president over his inability to abide by the national constitution.
He explained that during the inaugural ceremony President sworn the oath of allegiance and of secrecy that he will uphold and defend the good name of Ghana, but since his assumption, President Mills has being going contrary to what the laws of Ghana states. He added what the government intends to do is unconstitutional
Hon. Appiah Ofori raised this issue in wake of the government’s move to re-engage the Vodafone deal on Edwaso Nsem this morning with Ekourba Gyasi.
The government had earlier hinted that it will not abrogate the Vodafone 70% shares to Vodafone UK but will re-engage the deal.
This P.C Appiah Ofori explained that the government is not helping matters at all with this initiative because the government had failed, adding he initially copied the presidency and the Communications Minister about some irregularities in the contract, but the government turns deaf ears to his petition, so there is nothing new the government can do now.
He stressed that he was very furious when he heard that the contract will be re-engaged.
