GOV’T DENIED MEDIA REPORT ON JUBILIEE HOUSE USED BY FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTRY

Government has denied media reports on Jubilee house being used by personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as their temporal office.
A source from the Ministry of Information indicates that personnel of the Foreign Affairs Ministry are still using the Accra International Conference Center as a temporary office.
The Deputy Minister for Information, James Agyeinim Boateng told Adom Kasiebo that there is no iota of truth in the said publication.
The New Crusading Guide newspaper had earlier published that the Indian contractors who worked on the Golden Jubilee House have formally handed over the building to the project consultants, AESL who have in turn handed it over to government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Following last week’s fire outbreak which razed down the Ministry’s outfit in Accra, personnel of the Ministry are using the AICC as temporal office but were scheduled to move to the presidential palace today.

The Ministry according to sources would have access to the whole palace except facilities exclusive to the President and the Vice President.

Meanwhile the disputed former International Student’s Hostel has been given out to a Chinese company to up an office complex for the Ministry within nine months.
