Bui Dam Workers Complain

Workers of the Bui Hydro electric power project in the Brong ahafo Region have complained of ill-treatment meted out to them by their chinese employers.

The workers alleged that they are not paid well and are being dismissed with the least mistake they commit on duty.

In an interview with AdomFm's Akuamoah Boateng ,an anonymous worker at the project site disclosed that one of his colleagues lost his finger when operating a machine.

Our Anonymous source continued that the management of the Bui Dam Project refused to foot the medical bill of his injured co-worker.

Meanwhile the director of the Bui Power Project,Fred Oware,when contacted to comment on the allegations of the workers said his outfit is not incharge of the welfare of the Project site workers but theirs is to ensure that the chinese firm ,Sino-Hydro Company,contracted to undertake the project adheres strictly to the contract terms.
